We Deliver, Period.
Have you ever worked with a consultant who promised the moon and the stars…only to receive a deliverable that was wildly out of touch with the reality of your situation?
As former corporate leaders and clients of (typically expensive) consulting services, we understand how deeply disappointing this can be.
That experience has inspired Definite Aim to make this pledge to our clients: We will do everything within our power to deliver a tangible return on your consulting investment.

Client Situation: the SVP of Network Development at this IPA and Medicare Advantage Organization knew there were disconnects and broken processes in her division, but didn’t know where to start - much less how to solve the problems.
What we did:
We co-created heavily with the client and six other key leaders using interviews, facilitated workshops and other discovery frameworks to uncover root cause issues.
It turned out the division was lacking process documentation across the board. In addition, there was no regular tracking of performance metrics, and no business review process to discuss their results and challenges.
We recommended that the division create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all the processes they owned. We helped get them started with a framework and a few examples, and got them engaged and excited to do the work.
We also stood up a business review framework and helped them define KPIs for each function using data that was readily available from their systems. We assisted them with the first three monthly business reviews to make sure the leaders were confident with their metrics, reports and storytelling skills. This gave them the confidence to move forward on their own.
Results:
Over the course of the next 6 months, the client (with our guidance) had produced a Division Playbook which contained 80+ SOPs. They also continued to conduct monthly business reviews.
Not only did they measurably improve many processes, their employee engagement score went up significantly (while it went down at the same time in other divisions). The client directly attributed the increased engagement to the work we did together.
The division was also commended by the CEO as having “set the model” with their business review process and Playbook.

Client Situation: this healthcare client had recently gone public and was looking for consulting support to assemble a three-year strategic plan to be presented to the Board of Directors within 60 days.
What we did:
We worked with the CEO, the President and over a dozen other key leaders - using interviews, co-creative design and iterative synthesis - to develop a compelling, yet realistic growth plan that reflected their strategic focus and key initiatives. Results:
Not only was the Strategic Plan delivered within the client’s desired timeframe, they exclaimed the results to be far more impressive than what they were receiving from a Big 5 Consulting Firm that they were also working with at the time.
